History of the drink
Frappuccino is a brand registered by Starbucks.
It first appeared in the mid-1990s, when Starbucks bought a local coffee shop in Boston, where a similar drink was already served.
The name is a mixture of the words "frappé" (in French - a cooled drink) and "cappuccino".
Since then, dozens of variations have appeared, including caramel, chocolate, vanilla and even decaffeina-free versions.
✅ Useful sides
Frappuccino with caramel is more of a delicacy than a source of benefit, but nevertheless:
Energy: caffeine increases vigor, improves concentration.
Mood: sweetness and caffeine can temporarily improve mood.
Calcium: milk is a source of calcium, useful for bones.
⚠️ Harmful sides
Frappuccino with caramel has its disadvantages, especially with frequent use:
High sugar content: can reach 40-60 g in one drink - this is higher than the daily norm for adults.
Calorie content: a standard glass (Grande - 473 ml) can contain 300-450 kcal or more, especially with whipped cream.
Fat and saturated fats: because of cream and syrups.
Caffeine: not recommended for children and people with high blood pressure or caffeine sensitivity.
Interesting facts
Some countries produce unique local flavors of frappuccino.
There is even a "secret menu" - unofficial recipes known among Starbucks fans.
There are also more "healthy" versions - with almond milk, without cream and with reduced sugar content.
